  1. Connect5 min

    Recap last week and share today’s goal: “I can enter data into cells, rows and columns.”. Show a quick example of spreadsheet basics to hook interest and check what pupils already know.

  2. Teach & model8 min

    Model the key steps on the board using ExcelGoogle SheetsNumbers. Think aloud, name the buttons and menus, and show one common mistake and how to fix it.

  3. Practise13 min

    Pupils work on today’s task — spreadsheet basics — using ExcelGoogle SheetsNumbers. Use the prepared materials: Blank/part-filled Excel sheet shared via Teams; sample data to enterBlank/part-filled Google Sheets file shared via Google Classroom; sample data to enterBlank/part-filled Numbers spreadsheet shared via Schoolwork; sample data to enter. Circulate, prompt against the success criteria, and pair finishers with pupils who need support.

  4. Review & reflect4 min

    Pupils check their work against the “I can…” objective, save and tidy up, then share one thing that went well and one to improve. Preview next week.
