  1. Connect5 min

    Recap last week and share today’s goal: “I can read and explain a simple chart.”. Show a quick example of reading a chart to hook interest and check what pupils already know.

  2. Teach & model8 min

    Model the key steps on the board using ExcelGoogle SheetsNumbers. Think aloud, name the buttons and menus, and show one common mistake and how to fix it.

  3. Practise13 min

    Pupils work on today’s task — reading a chart — using ExcelGoogle SheetsNumbers. Use the prepared materials: Prepared chart(s) with data on slides or a shared Excel sheetPrepared chart(s) with data on slides or a shared Google Sheets filePrepared chart(s) with data on slides or a shared Numbers spreadsheet. Circulate, prompt against the success criteria, and pair finishers with pupils who need support.

  4. Review & reflect4 min

    Pupils check their work against the “I can…” objective, save and tidy up, then share one thing that went well and one to improve. Preview next week.
